Invision To Zeplin
What do people use? What do the developers you work with prefer?
Using InVision means you have to use Sketch, Abstract, or Zeplin too. Figma is all-in-one and gets you a lot more for a lot less. Zeplin vs InVision: I work for a service company as a lead developer and we have been using these tools on different projects for mockup integration.I teamed up with France Wang, lead designer at BAM, to list the pros and cons and give you our combined point of view on these design handoff tools. Zeplin's been around more than InVision and it has more features. SVG export itself is a winner. It does not show layers to developers(i dont know why invision does) so you can exclude or include any layer you want them to pick too so it is less cluttered. InVision lets you create stunningly realistic interactive wireframes and prototypes without compromising your creative vision. Collaboration app for designers & developers.
My team has been using Zeplin but we have all our screens in Invision too. It would be great to not have to put screens in two places and manage that whole situation, but I know some people still prefer Zeplin.
Thoughts? What do you and your team do? Any particular strengths one has over the other?

Go beyond specs. With Zeplin, you can publish finalized designs from Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and Photoshop.
Developers get a 'locked' design to build from, while designers can iterate on the next great release.
Zeplin is the source of truth for finalized designs, if it’s not in Zeplin it won’t be in the shipped product.
